You are suggesting that "we" needed Charles Hollander to make that 
connection?  Or that such a connection was mysterious until revealed
by same?

It's so obvious as to be hardly worth mentioning.  Except, of course in an
in depth analysis such as that this list is attempting to conduct.  

The implication of your statement above is ridiculous.
