Whether any particular reader needed it pointed out or
not, Hollander made the possible Gilbert & Sullivan
connection with TSR's Buttercup in his Pynchon Notes
article 12 years ago. It would have been nice for the
person who made that same connection in an earlier
post to acknowledge that fact, that's all, instead of
ignoring it -- I had, after all, provided the url for
Hollander's article in some earlier "TSR" notes.  I
don't see what's ridiculous about giving credit where
credit is due.

No such suggestion was made, you seem to be leaping to
a conclusion that's unwarranted -- not the first time
you've done that with regard to me, of course.

I'd say we have enough rock-throwers, what we need are
people willing to read and discuss the stories.  Of
course, you (or anybody else) can write whatever you
want to write here, no problemo.
