Can't stand The New Yorker (the damn cartoons are just
plain never funny), will likely never read Jonathan
Franzen (it's all I can do to keep up on, say,
contemporary footwear or breakfast cereals or
whatever, much less literature), so ... so now I gotta
get the damn New Yorker and read Jonathan Franzen to
figure out if/how I've just been insulted (?) ...
