A Vote for Vineland

Having nominated either/or, while my inclination is
actually Vineland as well, given not only current
events, but simple personal interest, still seems to
me that Slow Learner really ought to be covered here
before yet another novel is reread.  Not only from the
latest work to the earliest, but also simply to have
easily achievable goals.  My only suggestion is,
tighten up the Slow Learner schedule (week/fortnight
per segment) to finish it by, if not Christmas, the
New Year, then, and then move as quickly on to
Vineland as possible.  As with the recent readings of
Mason & Dixon, The Crying of Lot 49, and V. (I came in
midway through the second time through Gravity's
Rainbow), for any of which there was no overwhelming
mandate, either, since someone's taken the initiative,
let's follow up on that.  That seems to be all it's
ever taken, so ...
