Here's a thought:  what if the gentlemen represented in the "canon of white 
male authors", among whom were Barth, Barthelme, Hawkes, et al. were to be 
given the responsibility to solve the current TerrorWorld problem?  AND if 
the entire globe agreed that no one could commit violence of any kind upon 
anyone until those gentlemen had reached an agreement?  I firmly believe this 
would be the quickest, most reliable way to a violence-free planet! (for that 
matter, the problem could be turned over to us with much the same result!)
