Sorry you feel that way.  One person's joke can be another person's insult,
sometimes.  I've apologized, twice now. If you want to hold a grudge,
that's your business.

Regarding what I "meant" -- Pynchon-L has been the site of much discussion,
in past years, of authorial intention and the extreme difficulty in
ascertaining same.
