I guess the mentioned project refers to the interceptor/fighter
"Natter"(Bachem BP20), first launched on march, 1. 1945. The pictures I
know look very pynchonoid indeed. The rocket powered fighter was launched
vertically. It was a one-way vehicle, intended to fire about two dozent
small rockets at allied bombers, than it should dissemble in mid-air and
pilot and engine should land seperately on parachutes.
The whole thing was an SS project.

So much for the parallels.

"Natter" was much more lowtech, compared to A4 and von Braun's other
plans. The rocket motor was made of solid fuel, an off the shelf product by
this time. The plane itsself constructed of wood. It was manned. So no
liqiud fuel rocket motor, no Loxgerät, no Leitsystem and all that.
I'd be interested in more information on these scetches or photographies of
a manned A4,

 Kumpe.
