The cult of Pynchon doesn't do for me. Though I like his writing I don't 
feel the dominance. With Rand I do feel the dominance, the whip if you 
will.  I might consider serving her if reading the books wasn't a 
requirement. Rand apparently had no idea she was a terrible writer. She 
fought to have long long passages of Rourk's ravings included in the 
movie but studio wisdom prevailed.
