Subject: MAPS: Dulles+Helms+Gottlieb = LSD(aka
MKULTRA)/COLD WAR

Y'all:

The ongoing research into the deeply overlapping
relationship between the
clandestine practices of the Cold War and the
introduction/application (as
well as the invention) of LSD-25 (and related
compounds) has been accelerated
by the death of Richard Helms yesterday.

Helms is the one who ordered the destruction of all
Project MKULTRA (and
related) files upon his dismissal as CIA Director in
1973.  However, his
involvement with the use of "psychedelics" for global
purposes stretched back
to his eariest days in Switzerland.

According to the prevailing LSD "cover-story," the CIA
"accountants" refused
Helms' order and their heavily redacted files later
became the basis of the
"analysis" of the CIA's pivotal role in the
introduction/application of LSD.
John Marks (later Marty Lee and Jay Stevens) then
translated these "files"
into popular mythology, with the help of the New York
Times in making them
public.

Indeed, the fact that so many have fallen for this
preposterous LSD
"cover-story" may turn out to be one of Helms' most
successful "operations."

Helms was the Deputy Director of Plans (i.e.
covert-ops head starting in
1962) who supervised the Technical Services Staff,
where the infamous Sid
Gottlieb was cooking up "poisons" for Castro and
Lumumba at the same time
that he was supplied LSD (and other related "potions")
for widespread
distribution.

With the death of Richard Helms, many who participated
in these events will
now be able to begin releasing far more accurate
accounts (or so they have
privately stated) and the popular "cover-story" will
be replaced by a
plethura of crucial and, for the time being, largely
unanswered questions.

When did Timothy Leary start "working" for TSS?

How was the "defection" of Stan Grof from the "KGB" to
the "CIA" arranged and
kept quiet?

What was Owsley's (aka "Bear") relationship to the use
of LSD (by various
agencies) to end the Cold War?

Was Sid Gottlieb really setup as the "fall-guy" in an
elaborate
"cover-story"?

And, much, much more . . .
