Charismatic authority is thus specifically outside the
realm of everyday routine and the profane sphere. In
this respect, it is sharply opposed both to rational,
and particularly bureaucratic, authority, and to
traditional authority, whether in its patriarchal,
patrimonial, or any other form [...] Within the sphere
of its claims, charismatic authority repudiates the
past, and is in this sense a specifically
 revolutionary force.

	--Max Weber

The will of the charismatic individual
does become routinized in rational and traditional authority,
but it is itself a specifically revolutionary force.

Where have you gone Joe Pynchonio?

Ladys, it's very nice to know that you want to save the world and the
Pynchon List from
stupid white men. I guess it's natural for you to want to save the
children from Saturn's savage teeth. But why you perist in giving voice
to the stupid white jaws of yapping white ignorance remains a maternal
mystery.
