Yes!  Went to my local Borders this afternoon without funds and leaned in the 
P/R Fiction/Literature section and read the WHOLE introduction (emphasized 
because of my leaning position) in the only copy of SL available.  Traffic 
around me included:  two teenagers seeking Queen of the Damned arguing that 
the movie did/did not do justice to the book; one elderly lady looking at a 
Beva Plain hardcover; one post-hippie sort of gent mistakenly seeking Philip 
Roth among the "P"s until he realized it was organized by LAST name (his 
stoner-looking mate had to remind him, giggling) and one underpaid, heavily 
tattooed Borders drone heavily sighing while re-stacking misplaced copies of 
The Wide Sargasso Sea...nobody asked me to move aside so they could reach in 
for anything by TP although I entertained a fantasy that one of YOU would be 
there in the flesh...
