I just wanted to balance the gushing gibberish with a
reminder of the dreadful record of US government and
multinational corporations south of the US border -- a
record to which Pynchon refers in his work, by the
way.  Bush, Slayer of Evildoers has already tried to
overthrow at least one South American government (in
Venezuela), and finances a bloody war in Colombia. 
Mission accomplished, you boys can take it from here
without me.
