Don't call us lurkers!

While there are a number of anal lists out there that require
participation to receive them, this is not one of them.  Although I have
subscribed to the Pynchon list for years longer than Terrance (and have
enjoyed most of the time sifting through the garbage to get to the good
stuff about the author I consider to be the greatest living author BY
FAR) I feel no guilt for not posting ten messages a day.  

If I had the power to choose between allowing on the list only off-topic
political rants or off-topic whining about other members, I'd choose the
politics.  

There are lots of people who don't post messages.  These people actually
read much of the stuff you write Terrance!  Please don't disrespect them
by calling them by the negative term of "lurkers."
