"Stoppard's plays and screenplays excite a particular brand of
anticipation. Several great writers pump out masterpieces at regular
intervals without generating the kind of possessive, fanatical
expectancy a new Stoppard does. As with Thomas Pynchon -- rumored to be
working on a novel about the German mathematician David Hilbert, or
about Hungary between the wars, or possibly both or neither -- Stoppard
has the power to enrich a hitherto arcane topic simply by virtue of his
attention"

Hungary between the wars? where'd that one come from....
P.S. Look out for a collection of stories by Gabe Hudson called Dear
Mr. President--all take place/revolve around the Gulf War--
