All,

Just felt the need to say thanks to all of you for making a corner of my
desktop a happy and joyous place while the snowballs of the MDDM have
flown their arcs.

I'm at that point now where my last few pages of unread Pynchon, the
final chapters shrinking down to a point from which only what might have
been written remains, are guarded jealously and only read with
reluctance.

The entire experience had been fulfilling. I know of at least one person
who is now on the way to becoming a Pynch-head after hearing my
description of the "full and frank exchange of views" that took place
here over whether D hit the Slave Driver or not; so even the flame wars
have had their place and served their purpose.

And to the other lurkers like me who only pop their heads over the
parapet every six months or so, thanks as well. Knowing there's a vast
silent listening throng has added atmosphere to the experience.

To the regular contributors, my sincerest gratitude and admiration.
You've expanded my consciousness, entertained, upset and delighted me
regularly throughout the MDDM.

best regards,

Peter Fellows-McCully
