<< Oppression and crimes against women are rife in different forms

throughout the country. RAWA has always maintained that the

fundamentalists' rabid hatred of women as equal human beings -be they

fundamentalists of the Jihadi brand or of the Taliban one- is not due

merely to their unhealthy upbringing or morbid mind frame, but emanates

from their religio-fascistic ideological world outlook. As long as such

an ideology exists, propped up by military forces available at its

disposal, neither crazed misogyny nor a myriad of shameful social evils

associated with it can be eradicated. >>

Unfortunately, for various reasons, women in all cultures
often make up a substantial percentage of the population
who embrace and legitimate even the most "religio-fascistic
ideological world outlook" within any given culture. That is,
as oppressed or victimized as women in any given social
grouping, often are, "they" are not monolithic in their opinion
about changing the status quo. Many- and who knows for
sure how many in any given situation- prefer their given roles,
and do not desire to be liberated, and are even intimidated
by the threatening possibilty of liberation.

"Crazed mysogyny" and "a myriad of shameful social evils"
are not just propped up by "military forces available," but
by at least a percentage of the women involved.
