Yeah, what a bummer this whole situation is turning out to be. The US
will have one heck of a problem if while fighting Iraq Musharraff is
overthrown. Pakistan is really touch and go at the moment--seems
anything can happen.
Can we send Jonathan Franzen to Karachi? His New Yorker dissful piece
this week on Gaddis was truly an exercise in stupidity.
P.S. Has anyone read the Jerusalem Quartet series of four novels by
