to the promised land, across the Schuylkill.

Meanwhile, it is the chosen, the "effigied"
that will offer the issue of Mason succor:

years earlier, now will prove, each in his

Interesting contrast, that. So maybe it is
Tox's "Mobility that is to be..." 759.12, that
will become, finally, the users of W.A.S.T.E.,
like the sailor who presses his letter into
Oedipa's hand, hoping for delivery, while his
"buddy" hopes for a portion of the ten she
spotted the old swabbie.

So where's the Golem- put to good use at
last? "...as if something outside, beyond
the cold Wind, has driven them to this
extreme of seeking refuge." 759.09

If there is any hope in the novel, it seems
to me, it thus with Tox, and his people,
operating under a different sort of 
Commission.
