A friend's family used to import it, until the price
doubled. There was a time when we'd go get $3.00
22-ounce bottles at a bar, and EVERYONE would want
one. Subtle promotion. I still have a box of corks
I'd planned to string around an outback hat, plus
t-shirts, ashtrays, and yard-tall stand-up cardboard
kinghts-in-armor standing next to (by scale) giant
bottles. The I went to New York, and some kid charged
me $22.00 for a bottle of Chimay Blue, so ... but,
yeah, the Belgians have it all over everybody when it
comes to getting you messed up on fermentation, that's
for sure. Not to mention those Trappist monks ...
