Pig Bodine, like other male members of the crew, lusts after Paola
(interesting that these men are described as becoming pig-like in their
lust) and would rape her were it not for intervention of the
Jew/Catholic Benny/Profane who prevents Pig from raping Paola (a profane
fertility no doubt) by cashing in a debt Pig owes him because he
literally saved Pig from (secular) sterility.
