None of us has a reliable crystal ball, but I think our differences are
short-term versus long term stabilization/destabilization.  Sadaam was a
ticking very potent time-bomb.  It is good for the whole region (and the world)
that he be eliminated.  If we can successfully rebuild Iraq into a functioning
democratic model, the resentment from the region toward the US will be greatly
reduced.

That's what my hopeful take is.  I could also generate a doomsday scenario, but
at present that would not be helpful.
