Many of the men, and women, who were around at that time are dead as a
direct result of their service in what they knew to be a noble cause. Many
of the most confirmed men of peace that I know are, like Doug, veterans of
the military who have been informed by that experience. These people should
be respected and honored; they should not be the victims of cheap shots.
