What? The weakest reason is to disarm Iraq? Why did the UN pass all
those resolutions that require Iraq to disarm? Why did the world send in
inspectors? Why did the world think that Iraq needed to disarm?  Iraq
needed to be disarmed. The propaganda in the media about the specific
threat to the USA from this or that weapon has nothing at all to do with
it. Iraq used weapons of mass destruction in three reckless conflicts.
The world was outraged and the world acted. The resolutions call for
Iraq to disarm. Iraq's violation of  disarmament treaties, its failure
to comply with UN resolutions,  are by far the strongest reasons for
using the military option.
