My name's not Otto but I'd like to answer anyway. I sort of half agree
(maybe only a quarter) with Gore Vidal's criticism that Gravity's
Rainbow with all the afterlife and spiritualistic talk caters a little
too much to God-hungry American youth.

Also I don't much like Pynchon's nonfiction pieces. Don't imagine he
does either.
