Slothrop entertains the idea that the Return is to nonduality. In the
depolarized realm, there is no freedom and no bondage. All opposites
vanish. But, to return to nonduality is to go back to sleep. The trick is to
do it and stay awake. They don't want you to do this. So long as They can
keep you convinced that nonduality is an impossible Return, They can
maintain immortality and feed on your death.
