Yes, but maybe twenty years ago I read it. Suhrkamp published the whole three 
parts in 1983. Even in German difficult to read. I admire the translators. 
Partially very long sentences. A strange mixture. A bit Robert Musil, a bit 
German Garcia Marquez, histomat, diamat, and a novel. Geschichte means both: 
history and story. Weiss wanted to combine both. But only partially it works. 
Sometimes boring for readers. Some say it's the German Ulysses. Well, maybe, 
but then it's Karl Joyce.
