Since 'We' has been acknowledged by many (although not enough people are aware of its existence), and it is fairly obvious that a vast majority of ideas which are found in '1984' were derived from 'We', should '1984' be held in such high acclaim? Although '1984' is not exactly the same as 'We', they are very similar. It seems a little strange that '1984' was first published about a year and a half after Yevgeny Zamyatin's death. Although Orwell has been recognized and acclaimed for his other works, doesn't 'We' earn Zamyatin praise, and respect as one of the great minds of the past?
