Uh, not to sound too niave, but, like, there is a
copyright attached to "the foreword," isn't there?

If so, I'm assuming DM has stretched fair use
pretty much to the limit, no matter what the
sequential order of quotes  posted, w/r/t
the authorized version.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but posting the whole
piece would be a transgression of Pynchon's
rights, would it not? And, "scanning" it for others
to read free of purchase price, as requested by
one p-lister, could also result in a fairly expensive
series of legal actions, no?

Hoping I'm wrong...
