Sez he devotes less of himself to his nonfiction compared with the 
prodigious efforts he obviously has exerted in creating the fiction.
One would have to do a more systematic study than I've done to verify
his modus operandi, but a working hypothesis might be that the
nonfiction is in substantial part derived from what he has learned and
thought about in his more serious vocation of novelist.
