Hector here seems to be quoting that standard Lenny Bruce bit which DeLillo
also memorialises in _Underworld_ (see eg. _Underworld_, p. 584).

There's quite a bit of edge in the way Hector throws Bruce's line back into
Zoyd's face like this, but the other thing it makes you realise is just how
much DeLillo owes to Pynchon, in the minutiae as much as the big themes.
