Just to corroborate this a bit more: the way Hector is dressed and looks,
his "outlaw hat and cop sideburns" (23.3) for example, are pretty obvious
from the get-go, even to Zoyd.

And Van Meter had just seen Scott Oof "split out the back" in a rush
(23.30-1), which is why he "ran in frowning" (cf. 10.8).

I think it would be extremely unlikely, then, that Van Meter would mistake
Hector for a drug dealer.
