I don't think that will be possible.

It's true there's no reference in the text to the movie (or the song, which actually predated the movie by 40 years) other than the distinctive construction "the fatal [noun]," and the apparent (to me) allusion to the idea that there's a decisive moment when one first sets out on the road to perdition. That's more textual support than I could find for the notion that this is not Hector's first visit to the house.  

The "fatal five-spot" as the "fatal glass of beer" fits the way I read the scene. Doesn't fit the way you read it.
