Start on page 302.

Z has been busted for possession of drugs and tossed in the can. BV
visits. Z is roughed up a bit by a guard.

Hector comes to see Zoyd.

Zoyd is bitchin because he's being forced to snitch. Not raped, so
technically he holds on to his virginity, but forced to snitch.

H tells Z that the political people ain't interested in him so they are
gonna nail him for being a mule and H is going to help him get a light
sentence.

Hector is lying. The political people need Zoyd. Hector is there to tell
Zoyd the deal.

But Hector can't help himself. He asks Z for info on a
dude named shorty the bad. Z gives it up.

The real deal with the political is personal, Zoyd splits with the kid,
he jumps and they pay. He WORKS for THEM. He's is on the snitch payroll
just like Flash & Frenesi.

Hector entertains himself. Zoyd only suspects this later on.

H really thinks he knows what's best for Zoyd. He thinks that if only
Zoyd would grow up and stop taking acid and smokin dope and get
re-married he would be better off and Prairie would be better off too.
>From Reagan, to Brock, to Hector, as sort of trickle down family plan.
Of course H believes in marriage. This is a very important difference
between he and BV.

Ah, it's just love in the Californian world.

Who knows, maybe in the sequel Hector's sister will mary Flash or
something.
