Yeah, I probably was reaching too far,
fantasizing some remembered childhood.

My parents had euphemisms for bodily
functions, as if they could raise a
purely mental geek, denying the body.

I remember once while we were driving
up Lincoln blvd, I was a senior in HS,
and father asked, "What do the other
kids say about fucking?" I assured him
that they don't use that word any more.

That was the same year I bought my first
article of clothing myself. Not aware of
proper fit, I could have set off the too
-baggy pants style years ahead of time.
