There's not only a sense of intimacy and fidelity but a sense of sadness,
even despair, and a consciousness of their isolation in that gesture.
And I think the fact that RC's look is one of "inquiry" adds an extra layer
to it. It adds a touch of uncertainty, hesitancy, a suggestion that RC might
be seeking a degree of acceptance as well as warning Zoyd off.
