In 1998 (VLVL) Me and Doug came down on different sides on this one, I
still think LSD gets a very bad rap in this book. We agreed, at that
time, that a Bush Vet could be both/and a Vietnam Vet and a Bush Vet
farmer. 

VL is also about Marriage and Love In The Western World. Partnerships
where LSD is involved are based on "Love" and Eternity (or as BV puts it
Forever--BV's philosophy about Love in the Western World is ideological
and tragic) relationships and are doomed.
