Pynchon mention & recommendation

I'm reading the new translation of _Don Quixote_, the
third time through this wonderful novel, and I
recommend it to all Pynchon readers.

Here's the Pynchon mention from a review of same: 

"Some of the hysterical realism of modern writers like
Pynchon and Rushdie seems to take its cue from
Cervantes, the violence having been replaced by
perpetual motion."
