VL is not About work. Only an idiot would fall for that one.
That's like saying V. is about religion or something like that.
But, the right answer is overrated, it's the mistakes that are
interesting.
I agree that KA is not clearly defined but we can get a pretty good idea
from the book. Try page 172 for starters.
And it was this unscheduled layover in Shade Creek ... that got them
into the KA Business.
They get he business going when they end up in Thanatoid Land, Shade
Creek and early on most of their clients are Thanatoids.
They hear testimony about acts of betrayal and dispossession.
At first, Takeshi's notion of KA is not even known to DL. He may not
even know what KA is exactly either, but he's certain that people will
pay him for it, even though most of his clients don't have a pot to piss
in.
Takeshi, we know, is prone to grandiosity and he believes he has some
sort of "immunity" (reminds me FariƱa's BDSL).
He compares the KA business to Insurance. He says it's like Insurance
only different. 173
At this point you may want to read what I've posted on Dante,
Insurance, and Usury. It's in the archives.
Merry Christmas to you, Doug.
Have a happy new year.
Going on vacation now.
Love and Peace,
Mr. T
