(195.31-32) "DL, on the other hand, obliged to approach life in 24fps with
cold practicality, stayed as far out of camera range as she could."

A comment that follows the "reverse shot" of Frenesi. Such editing allows
the camera to construct a narrative field that aims to be inclusive: it
creates the (misleading, of course) impression that no space escapes the
camera's gaze. The subsequent reference to DL then offers her a position
outside of the narrative (here, "camera range").

(195.33-34) "When she talked, it was about tactics and timetables, hardly
ever politics, and then only as much as she had to."

The facilitator. The juxtaposition of "tactics and timetables" to "politics"
(the latter defined by Frenesi's speech in the preceding paragraph, as well
as her place in front of the camera) deconstructs the revolutionary praxis,
separating 'what' from 'how'.

It also alludes to DL's role in the here-&-now, leading Prairie to Ditzah
(just as, earlier, she led her to the Sisterhood). It has never been DL's
role to 'tell' in any facile sense of the word.
