Yet Another Plea to Stay Pynchon-Focused

Interesting point.  Maybe we would find it less appealing to spin off into 
peripheral political topics if "Entropy" were a more compelling fiction.  I 
think this story does not hold together as a competent work but feels in 
every way artificial, mannered, forced and self-conscious.  If I had been the 
associate professor reading my sophomore creative writing students' work and 
found this I would have sensed a brilliance weighted down by an 
understandably juvenile literary musculature.  Lots of flexing but carrying 
no weight.
