Slothrop's penis knows where the rocket's will hit. Remember, he was never
"de-programmed" from the experiments of his childhood. That's why his little
map is so important. His peculiar talents are accidentally discovered and
forwarded to the White Visitation. The rocket moves faster than the speed of
sound. The rocket hits. Then you hear it coming in. Slothrop gets an
erection. The rocket comes later. Then the sound. It's pretty fucked up. But
that's why we're here.
