And, I agree there's no excuse for bad taste in music,
but Ten Years After and Ultimate Spinach and Iron
Butterfly (INAGODDADAVITA,Baby) were considered "good"
music at the time.  Perhaps by you still ...

I daresay there were far more soldiers in that
cultural war on the nod than manning the ramparts. 
Wearing bell bottoms and smoking dope defined the
"revolution" for many.
