Conflict itself may be immortal. Politics in its most basic form 
never changes, though they seem to dress it up with different points 
of reference. For example, I think our wars now are a great deal 
different from the pre-Christian European wars, and maybe not as 
exciting. I mean, how "kewl" really is bombing something from 3 miles 
up? Swords and leather, armor and spikes!
