europe has already experienced muslim invasions and dealt with them. 
(there are two other middle eastern religions which have invaded 
which no one has yet dealt with, but i assume this is the process of 
history taking its time).

further, germany and france were not the ones leading the modern 
crusades into the middle east. they learned from the last bout of 
problems with that idea...
