Liar, liar arse on fire.

Gerhard got elected by insisting that Germany would play no part
in a war in Iraq. He lied. When he fired up support
with his anti-American politics I suspected he was not being honest.
At the time I argued that Germany would support the UN war in
Iraq and that is exactly what is happening now.

1. Despite all the rhetoric, the US will have unrestricted
use of its German bases and German air space.

2. Germany has agreed to provide Patriots to Israel.

3. Germans will fly AWACS reconnaissance aircraft on the Turkish
  border with Iraq.

4. German reconnaissance will remain in Kuwait and will support the US
if Iraq should launch WMD on advancing troops.

5. Provide Luna aircraft to inspect Iraq, this despite
the fact that Germany has a ban on the deployment of
troops outside of NATO w/o parliamentary approval.

6. German pilots will be suspended from the army so that they may fly
over Iraq as civilians.

7. Germany voted for UN Resolution 1441.

8. And when and if a second resolution is proposed by the
American, Germany, now a temporary member of the SC,
  is likely to support it.

Germany, one of the biggest suppliers of arms in the world, is not
turning pacifist. God bless the naked fools that believe this.

Chirac has delusions of Grandeur. He doesn't deny American hegemony and
he's not deluded enough to predict its pending demise. In fact, he
acknowledges the truth about American power, it has never been greater.
But he is fool enough to play the part of independent France the leader
of Europe. Oh, those British lap dogs, bull dogs, whatever, we are men.

1. France doesn't like to be left out.

2. It won't be this time.
