I had to laugh at Weaver slagging off at Pestilence's Understudy and trying
to muzzle him because his "nihilism" will inevitably and unarguably be
absorbed into the "extreme right". I'm sure one of the trolls from the
pynchon-list Ministry of Truth will correct me (anyway), but I can't recall
even one socialist regime which hasn't devolved into heinous and
soul-crushing totalitarianism within the space of a generation, a generation
and a half at most. The people of Iraq being the latest in a long line of
victims.

All this "right" vs "left" political blather is so one-dimensional and
boring, just an excuse for irrelevant grandstanding and ad hominem.
