Is there really such a thing as "Iraqi Culture"?
Of course, there is a long Arab tradition and culture. Baghdad is one of the
oldest cities on Earth. But is there really a nation called Iraq? My Iraqi
ex-girlfriend claimed that there is not. It was just the bureaucracy that
issued her passport and killed her parents.
I have no sympathy for the thugs of the Ba'ath Party. They deserve what they
get. I have sympathy for the poor bastards who will be on the receiving end
of the shitstorm. Ordinary people. American as well as Iraqi.
