Same as anyone. So it seems. But there is a reason why this is a Pynchon
List. There is a reason why the List owners have provided a single rule
to guide the discourse here. That reason is that we come here because we
share at least one thing in common. We have subscribed to a Pynchon List
because it is list dedicated to Pynchon. If we discuss racism is
England. Abortion in Ireland. Genocide in Rwanda. Jesus Christ our lord
and savior. The lounge scene in Alphabet city. Them Yankees. Swimming
techniques. Brazil. This is just a chat room that calls itself the
Pynchon list. I don't want to silence anyone. But we all know that if we
stick to Pynchon we will have fewer posts and fewer participants who
have no business here but to make trouble and divert our attention from
what we are here to discuss. If you are bored with Pynchon perhaps you
should start a new list, like, well, maybe, the x-pynchon list or
something.
