Don't disagree with you there. The interesting and relevant thing is that
_Anthem_ was written in 1937, long before Orwell's _1984_. Not sure whether
she was influenced by Zamyatin's _We_, which is the Ur-text for both
Huxley's and Orwell's dystopias but, being Russian, I'd say it's highly
likely. And at least it's short.
As I've said here before, while Rand's books might be crap, both as
literature and as political ideology, they've been enormously influential,
particularly in America, and particularly on Josephine & Joe Public.
