Well, that one's over. Looks like things are as close to settled as 
they're going to get.

Someone mentioned DeLillo; I haven't asked for fear of faux pas, but, 
what is the general consensus on his stuff? I liked White Noise, in 
many ways quite a bit, in others only slightly, grudging. I'm 
probably just being a curmudgeon to a qualified writer, but sometimes 
the characters echoed like earphone pings in a coke can.
